ACDGC Volunteer to the Rescue!

ACDGC member Jacob Sissel dropped me a welcome message on facebook yesterday. He told me he had noticed the makeshift bridge we dropped in across the small stream that flows from the pond at hole 18 in Oak Park was beginning to fall apart. No surpise there as it had been in place for around a decade.

What was a welcome surprise was that Jacob was asking if he had permission to build a new one and haul away the old! He said he had all the materials he needed to pretty much recreate what was already in place, only it wouldn’t be falling apart. That sounded like a great deal to me and I gave him the go ahead.

And, just one day later!

One day later and Jacob sent me this!

Job Well Done, Jacob! Thank you from the ACDGC Board, all your fellow members and I’m pretty sure just about all the local disc golfers who play Oak Park!!

Looking Good! I’m sure it will be around for another 10 or 15 years!!
