Air Capital Disc Golf Club Minutes  

November 13, 2018    

Call meeting to order: (President Jerry) 5:13 pm

RollCall: (Secretary)     Jerry, Joe, Marty, Bill, Ben, Daniel,  Jeff  (all present) guest Kenny Underkohlofer, Marcus Anderson.

Minutes from last meeting: (Secretary) motion to approve minutes-Ben  2nd Bill  passed 6-0

Financial Report: (Treasurer) presented by Joe    motion to approve  Jeff, 2nd Marty  passed 6-0

Parks Report: (updates on current projects)  Millbrook- workday to be scheduled to put a bridge over hole 5, Colwich-plans in motion to add up to 18 holes starting after hole 8 using old baskets for now. Hope to have three in by next month.  City of Colwich approved assuming no cost to city.  Cessna- vandalism on hole #3, need to fix pin placements  on #2 and #3.   Derby-Marty in discussion with Parks director on course improvements.  Oak- looking a modifications on championship layout to be able to keep using Park Villa.

Communications Report: will publish league schedule on FB, and minutes of Oct. Meeting

President’s Report: (club updates, issues, responses)  no discussion

Old Business:

            1. Membership Drive/bag tags     had 62 members sign up at membership drive, 47 bag tags have been sold for $5 each.  Tags paid for my sponsorships.  15 new members.  Crispin was Club Champion.  Jerry is ordering awards for division winners at a cost of approx $150

            2. Round Up summary   exact financial report will come next month once all expenses taken care of.  Thank you notes sent to all sponsors.  Tournament filled to 90 players 10 days before tournament  

            3.  Weekly league play  Schedule will be posted on FB page

New Business

  1. Club Revenue streams  discussed continuing with paying ams cash or vouchers.  Paying cash this fall has not increased attendance
  • B tier events  discussed value of continuing Doo Dah and Round Up as B tier events in the future, no decisions made  next year B tier events will need $750  C-tier $250 added cash to open division
  • Separate tournament for Cessna  hold a possible C-tier event at Cessna and Clapp in future if we can get people to volunteer to help run event
  • Board members- will seek volunteers for new board members for 2019
  • Additional practice basket at Oak   Motion to table until December Marty, 2nd Joe  passed 6-0
